Eco-IVF success rate

For many couples success rates are an important part of the decision making process when choosing an IVF treatment program. Our Eco-IVF success rate represents ongoing clinical pregnancies that were assigned out to OB care.

Pregnancy Rate = 42.8%

(Clinical pregnancy rate per embryo transfer; January – December 2010)

How to interpret low cost IVF success rate

CHR’s EcoIVF experience in 2010 remained small. Considering that we limit this procedure to women with normal ovarian reserve and only under age 38, this should not surprise. Given our specialization in fertility in older women and complex cases of infertility, few such patients present to CHR. In those few cycles, the clinical pregnancy rate was excellent (42.8%). Considering the relatively small number of cycles, however, these data need to be viewed with caution.

In addition, it needs to be noted that the listed pregnancy outcomes reflect ongoing clinical pregnancy rates and not delivered pregnancies. The pregnancy rates are calculated as a percentage of embryos transferred that resulted in clinical pregnancy, not as a percentage of cycles started. Furthermore, a comparison of clinical success rates between IVF centers may not be meaningful, due to the different medical characteristics of patients at each IVF center, as well as treatment approaches.
